Healthy Kids Day is an event dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles, eating habits, and activities. At our event we will be doing the following activities:

•    Softball throw
•    40 meter dash
•    4 x 100 meter relay
•    Hula Hoop Contest
•    Jump Rope Contest
•    Mini Golf Contest
•    Stroller Walk
•    Bobbing for apples
•    and more fun activities!

We will be having registration for the event from March 1-31 2010. We will be accepting applications by mail to BLDG 192 MCAGCC PO BOX 6002, fax to 760-830-8797, or drop it off at our building across from Carl’s Jr on base. Please come out and join us on Saturday April 17th 2010 9 AM- 12 PM at Felix Field on base. It will be open to children of active duty ages 6 months- 12 years of age. Bring the whole family and have a fun day with the Armed Services YMCA.

he Armed Services YMCA invites you to join us in an evening of great food, friends, and fun at our annual Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction.  During this special event the Kids Care Club members will not only be your hosts but will also be your servers.  Come join us to see the excitement of the children as they show off their skills.

Date: Sunday May 16, 2010         Dinner Tickets Prices:

Time: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm                Adults: $5.00

Where: MCCS Community Center               Children (ages 4-12): $3.00

Soap Box Derby 2010

Nearly 50 racers converged at the top of Cactus Drive and Hilltop Avenue in Twentynine Palms, California to compete in the Armed Services YMCA’s annual Soapbox Derby June 4. Many parents thought that this event was a good way to spent quality time with their children but, this event also can help promote good sportsmanship and raise the esteem of those children involved.
