Voluneering InformationThe ASYMCA is not an organization where the volunteers sit on the sidelines. Volunteers make a difference in our programs, administration, special events, fund raising, speaker’s bureau, holiday activities, newsletters, Board of Management and Board of Advisors. The purpose of volunteers is to align the work of our Armed Services YMCA Twentynine Palms Branch to the community we serve. Their responsibilities are to identify, support, and promote excellence in the programs and services that meet the need of the local military community.

Volunteers Needed

Information for volunteer events will be posted when needed. Visit site regularly for latest volunteer information.

There are many things we here at the ASYMCA do throughout the year that requires a lot of extra kind hearted people. From organizing an event to working with the final cleanup, there is few and far between that we do need an extra hand with. To find out more about volunteer opportunity please come to our office and fill out an application, and ask any of our friendly staff. We are always glad to see a helping hand. Also ask about “The President’s Volunteer Service Award”

Upcoming Events

This program offers our donors a chance to say
“Thank You for Your Service”  to our active duty military and their families.

Starting Thursday afternoons till Friday at closing or until all bread is gone, we will be providing free loaves of bread and any other donated items, such as buns and other grocery items, to our active duty and their families.

The Armed Services YMCA has the ability to distribute over 400 lbs. of assorted loaves of bread and other grocery items per week to the active duty and their families.

The Armed Services YMCA is in need for volunteers to help with this program. Volunteers are needed to:

Help with pick-up of items from our donors
Unload the items at the ASYMCA Admin Building 192
Set-up and display items for distribution
Check Military ID’s/Distribute items
