About The Twenty-Nine Palms YMCA

Since the Civil War, the Armed Services YMCA has consistently provided educational, recreational, social, and spiritual programs to military members and their families.  An affiliate of the YMCA of the USA for 148 years and headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, the Armed Services Twentynine Palms was established locally in 1992 and is located on the Marine base in Twentynine Palms in Building 192 and Building 193 and is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that directly serves the active duty and their military families stationed in Twentynine Palms through donations by individuals, fraternal organizations, business, and foundations.  The Armed Services YMCA Twentynine Palms’ focus is on junior enlisted, E-5 (Sergeant) and below, but no active duty personnel or military family member is ever turned away.  The Armed Services Twentynine Palms does not duplicate any benefits, resources, or services provided by the military or any other organization aboard the Marine base, nor does it receive any government funding.
